Aecon completed the construction of a new terminal (2/B) and the modification of an existing terminal (2/A), including the apron, taxiways, roads, bridges and other airside and landside infrastructures. The integrated terminal development accommodates 14 contact gates, 18 remote aircraft parking stands and a capacity of 6 million passengers per year.

The scope of work also involved nearly all manner of building techniques, from heavy cement jobs above and below ground to finished buildings, equipped with advanced technical installations. Also included were all installations - electrical, ventilation, water and waste disposal plus special terminal facilities such as docking systems, baggage-handling and safety equipment.
