Toronto, Ontario – April 18, 2005: Aecon Group Inc. (TSX: ARE) today announced that Aecon Buildings has been awarded a $57 million general contract to construct Phase 2 of the University of Guelph's new Science Complex.
The project involves construction of a four-storey, 230,000 square foot building with an elaborate structural steel "tree" supporting an extensive skylight over an atrium. The facility will give the centralized science groups new laboratory space and first-class research space.
