Toronto, Ontario – August 9, 2005: Aecon Group Inc. (TSX: ARE) announced today that its Quebec-based Buildings division, Aecon-Cegerco, has secured contracts from two different clients in the Montreal area worth over a combined $20 million.
Aecon-Cegerco was named general contractor for the construction of the Saint-Léonard-sur-le-Parc seniors' residence. Valued at $13 million, the eight-storey 140,000 square-foot building will be a prestigious 160-unit residence with various apartment sizes ranging from studios to two bedrooms. The complex will also feature a park, an indoor swimming pool, bowling alleys, a hair salon and a convenience store.
Aecon-Cegerco was also awarded a contract by the Aéroports de Montréal for a $10.6 million multi-level expansion of the parking lot at the Montreal-Trudeau Airport. Aecon-Cegerco will act as general contractor for the 452,088 square-foot expansion and renovation to the existing lot. Aecon-Cegerco is also completing a previously announced $12 million renovation to the Montreal-Trudeau terminal building.
