, Ontario – October 6, 2008: Aecon Group Inc. (TSX: ARE) announced today that it has been named one of the Top 100 Employers in Canada for 2009. The annual Top 100 Employers list is organized by Mediacorp Canada Inc., and published in Maclean’s magazine.
To develop the Top 100 list, Mediacorp invited 16,000 employers to apply. To participate, employers complete an extensive application process, which includes a detailed review of their organization’s operations and HR policies. For the 2009 list, over 2000 employers started the application process.
Aecon was recognized, among other things, for its financial benefits and compensation, health and family-friendly benefits, work atmosphere and communication, and community involvement.
