Edmonton, Alberta – December 10, 2019: Enoch Cree First Nation and Aecon Group Inc. announced today that the Enoch Aecon Joint Venture, a newly formed partnership between Enoch Construction LP of the Enoch Cree First Nation (51%) and Aecon (49%), has signed a three-year multiple use agreement for off-site pipe fabrication supporting a major Canadian energy company in Alberta.
This award provides Indigenous workers with an opportunity to engage in skilled trades such as pipefitting and welding in Aecon’s 7,700 m² fabrication facility located in Sherwood Park, Alberta.
The Enoch Aecon Joint Venture has the unique capability to provide an Indigenous-led solution for industrial construction and is actively pursuing industrial construction projects for mutual benefit in Alberta’s Industrial Heartland. Enoch Construction LP and Aecon have been working together since 2017.
